Pro Driver Trucking Academy was founded in 2014 by Rodney Chetty who has worked in the transport Industry for almost 21 years. He began as a long-distance driver and towards the end of his working career he worked as a driver trainer. He brings a vast amount of experience to Pro Driver Trucking Academy.

Due to the shortage of experienced drivers in the South African transport sector, unskilled drivers are being recruited. Drivers are in high demand that employers simply do not have the capacity to allow them time off to enhance their skills and improve their abilities. Pro Driver Trucking Academy was founded with the main aim of providing driver skills training to drivers who are newly licensed to assist them in receiving driver skills and improving their employment opportunities as skilled drivers in logistic companies.

Rodney believes that through both our classroom and practical “ON THE TRUCK” training we can benefit our clients financially and improve their drivers’ skills on our roads thus reducing vehicle accidents, insurance claims, vehicle maintenance and fuel costs.

To ensure our clients are receiving the best training, our training material is aligned with the South African Qualifications Authority and Pro Driver is TETA registered. Pro Driver Trucking Academy is registered with the Department of Transport to offer Unit standard 123259 – Conveying of Dangerous Goods by Road.
